Max Scherzer Reunites with Blue Jays on One-Year Deal

Max Scherzer has agreed to return to the Toronto Blue Jays on a one-year contract with a $3 million base salary and up to $10 million in incentives.

The right-hander will look to bounce back after a 2024 season where he posted a 5.19 ERA over 85 innings. Now 41, Scherzer is set to turn 42 midway through the 2026 season and is the second-oldest active player behind Justin Verlander.
