Fitzgerald Proposes College Football Calendar Changes

Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald discussed proposed changes to the college football calendar during a recent podcast with ESPN's David Pollack.

Fitzgerald suggested moving up the start of the season, implementing home playoff games similar to the NFL model, and relocating the national championship game to January 1st. He also recommended eliminating conference championship games and scheduling bowl games to be played a week after the regular season concludes.

These proposals address what Fitzgerald sees as necessary changes to improve the current college football calendar structure.
