Bengals Decline Tag on Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Bengals will not apply the franchise tag to standout defensive end Trey Hendrickson, allowing the four-time Pro Bowler to hit unrestricted free agency.

The decision comes after Hendrickson missed over half of the 2025 season due to injury and amid speculation regarding his contract demands. The former All-Pro has recorded 81 sacks over his career but was not offered a contract extension last year.

Now entering free agency, Hendrickson is expected to be a highly sought-after target as he looks for a new home in his tenth NFL season.
