Liverpool Defender Balmer Exits After 9 Years

Liverpool academy defender Liam Balmer has confirmed he will depart the club at the end of the season after nine years with the Reds. The 16-year-old right-back, who progressed through the ranks from under-nine level, made the announcement via Instagram.

After thanking everyone at the club for their support, Balmer stated the experiences will 'live with me forever' and that he's ready to move to 'another chapter.' Leeds United are expected to be the beneficiaries of his decision, with reports indicating he has agreed to join the Yorkshire club's academy.
