The United States women face their toughest test of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup as they match up against 10th-ranked Canada in Nashville on Wednesday evening.
Last season was the first time in six years that the USWNT did not win the SheBelieves Cup title on home soil, but they took the first step towards redemption last time out as they beat Argentina 2-0.
Canada, meanwhile, got their fourth SheBelieves Cup appearance off to a strong start with a 4-1 victory over Colombia which brought a lengthy scoreless drought to a screeching halt.

USA vs. Canada key moments
Prematch: Emma Hayes has rotated her squad considerably throughout the last two years, calling in young players to give them experience in the national team setup. Now, with the 2027 FIFA World Cup just over a year away, she has called in nearly all her big guns for the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, looking to solidify the first-choice group and get them firing on the field together.
Still, there are plenty of places to be won. She told the media before this match, for example, that Emma Sears would be a choice off the bench if they needed to win a big competitive match right now. Yet it's important to remember that Catarina Macario, Sophia Smith, and Mallory Swanson are also factors once healthy.
USA vs. Canada reaction
Following the game, this section will be updated with post-match reaction from Emma Hayes and Casey Stoney.

- Emma Hayes is likely to rotate her side heavily from the first game, with many regulars entering the XI, including Naomi Girma, Trinity Rodman, Emily Sonnett, and Sam Coffey, among others.
