WNBA Union Sends Counterproposal on Revenue Sharing

The WNBA players’ union has sent a counterproposal to the league, offering 26% of gross revenue and revised housing terms. The deal must be reached by March 10 to keep the season on schedule.

The union’s offer keeps its 26% share of gross revenue, down from the 27.5% it had proposed earlier, and maintains a request that teams provide housing for all players in the early years, with a relaxation for those earning at least 75% of the maximum salary in later years.

If a deal is reached by the March 10 deadline, the CBA would likely be signed by month‑end, allowing the expansion draft for Portland and Toronto to take place in early April and free‑agent qualifying offers to be issued on April 7–8.
