Schefter: Shaheed not close to Seahawks deal

According to Adam Schefter, the Seahawks and their wide receiver Rashid Shaheed are not close to securing a deal before the free agency market opens. The two sides reportedly have not made significant progress on an extension, meaning Shaheed will likely become an unrestricted free agent on Monday.

Shaheed, who was acquired from the New Orleans Saints in exchange for fourth and fifth-round draft picks, joins a growing list of Seahawks players expected to test the market. Similar reports have emerged regarding running back Kenneth Walker and defensive end Boye Mafe, with the Seahawks reportedly expected to be outbid for all three.
