Rams Eye Alabama QB Ty Simpson in 2026

ESPN insider Louis Riddick reports that the Los Angeles Rams are interested in Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson for the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite Matthew Stafford's return, the Rams view Simpson as a potential long-term successor.

Riddick stated on "NFL Draft Daily" that the Rams are specifically targeting Simpson due to his skillset and makeup. Simpson is a 6-foot-2, 208-pound pocket passer who threw for over 3,500 yards and 28 touchdowns during his 2025 season.

With two first-round picks at Nos. 13 and 29, the Rams could select Simpson immediately. However, the team might prefer to address immediate roster needs for a Super Bowl run rather than investing in a quarterback for the future.
