The Raiders announced the hiring of Al Holcomb, a former Panthers coach, as a senior defensive assistant. Holcomb will join the Raiders' coaching staff under head coach Josh McDaniels.
Holcomb spent eight seasons with Carolina, serving as linebackers coach, defensive run game coordinator, assistant head coach on defense, and interim defensive coordinator. He also had stints with the Cardinals, Browns, and Bills before returning to the Panthers.
