The Lady Vols finished the Tennessee Invitational with a 6‑2 win over Appalachian State, as Karlyn Pickens tossed a complete game and notched 15 strikeouts.

The No. 1 Tennessee softball team capped its undefeated season with a 6‑2 victory over Appalachian State in the Tennessee Invitational finale at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. Right‑hander Karlyn Pickens started and completed the game, striking out 15 batters, allowing only two hits and two earned runs while walking four and giving up one home run. She threw 124 pitches, 75 of them strikes, and hit one batter.

Tennessee’s offense produced nine hits, including a three‑run homer by Ella Dodge that accounted for four RBIs. The Lady Vols were 4‑for‑11 with two outs and 4‑for‑12 with runners on base. They will return to the field on Tuesday for a home game against Belmont, with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m. EST on SEC Network+.
