Lincoln Stuns No. 2 O'Dea in Regional Upset

Lincoln High School, the No. 6 seed, pulled off a stunning 71-58 upset victory over No. 2 O'Dea in the Class 3A state tournament regional round.

Lincoln's star sophomore duo of Davion Shareef-Dulaney (22 points) and Justus Holt (23 points) led the way as the Tacoma-based team defeated the favored Seattle Irish on Saturday at Bellevue College. The victory gives Lincoln a bye into the 3A state tournament quarterfinals next Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.

O'Dea, which had only lost in-state to No. 1 Rainier Beach this season, looked shellshocked throughout the game. Lincoln coach Ryan Rogers credited his team's execution of the game plan for the victory.
