Kulkarni Appointed Oman Men’s Cricket Head Coach

Sulakshan Kulkarni, ex-Mumbai wicketkeeper and Ranji Trophy coach, has been named head coach of the Oman men’s national cricket team, succeeding Duleep Mendis.

Sulakshan Kulkarni, former Mumbai wicketkeeper and 2024‑25 Maharashtra Ranji coach, has been appointed head coach of the Oman men’s national cricket team. He replaces Sri Lankan Duleep Mendis, who will serve as Oman Cricket’s Chief Development Officer.

Kulkarni’s mandate is to steer Oman toward qualification for the 2027 50‑over World Cup in South Africa, with the team set to compete in ICC CWC League 2 tri‑nation series in Nepal and Namibia next month. He brings experience from coaching Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
