Ingram Returns to Coach Hawthorne Football

Former University of Florida standout Cornelius Ingram is returning as head football coach at Hawthorne (Fla.) after initially stepping away in January. Ingram had been tied to other area vacancies but decided Hawthorne was the best fit for him in 2026.

Ingram, who led the Hornets to three state championships in 2022-23 and 2025, has compiled an impressive 104-22 record through 11 seasons with no losing campaigns. The former All-SEC performer will begin his 12th season with the Hornets in the FHSAA's 1A classification.
