Golfer Pavan Released From Hospital After Elevator Fall

The 36-year-old Italian golfer, who was in South Africa for the DP World Tour's Investec South African Open, underwent surgeries on his shoulder and back after suffering fractures to several vertebrae in the February 25 accident. Pavan will remain in the country for approximately five more weeks of rehabilitation before traveling back to the United States.

'It truly feels like a miracle to be able to walk and start to do some basic activities, though at a very slow and careful pace,' Pavan shared on social media. A GoFundMe set up by a former teammate had raised over $81,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. The DP World Tour winner's return to golf remains uncertain.
