Doohan Receives Death Threats Before Alpine Exit

Jack Doohan revealed he received death threats and encountered armed men during the Miami Grand Prix, before Alpine replaced him with Franco Colapinto.

Doohan said he received multiple death‑threatening emails ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, warning that his limbs would be cut off if he stayed in the car. He also described seeing three armed men and calling his police escort to intervene.

After Alpine replaced him with Franco Colapinto in May, Doohan posted that online abuse had increased, blaming fans from Argentina. He is now a reserve driver for Haas.
