Bennett Stirtz trimmed Iowa's deficit to 68-65 with a layup, but Rapp's shots put Wisconsin in control. John Blackwell's free throws after a technical foul extended the lead to 82-69 with 1:02 remaining.
Wisconsin shot 53.8% from the field, including 10 of 24 from beyond the arc, and hit 18 of 20 free throws. Stirtz led Iowa (19-8, 9-7) with 23 points. The Badgers bounced back from an 86-69 loss at Ohio State while Iowa was coming off a win over No. 9 Nebraska.
