Nebraska Baseball Drops Series Opener to Kansas State 5-3

Nebraska baseball fell to Kansas State 5-3 on Saturday, dropping the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series opener.

Despite leading 3-1 in the fifth inning, the Huskers couldn't hold off Kansas State. Carlos Vasquez drove in four runs, going 3-for-4, to secure the victory. Nebraska's Mac Moyer led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance.

Carson Jasa started for Nebraska, throwing 5.2 innings with eight strikeouts, but J'Shawn Unger took the loss in relief. Nebraska concludes the series against No. 16 Florida State on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT.
