Augsburg beats Cologne to tie record with 8 straight home wins

Augsburg defeated Cologne 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday, extending their unbeaten run at home to a club-record eighth game.

Rodrigo Ribeiro scored the opener in the 55th minute, and Alexis Claude-Maurice added a late goal to secure a 2-0 victory for Augsburg.

The win sees Augsburg tied on points with Eintracht Frankfurt in ninth place, while Cologne remains in 12th after the hard-fought match.
