Arsenal’s summer plans have taken a new turn as the club is said to be in advanced talks to bring Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka to the Emirates. The German international, 31, will leave Bayern when his contract ends in June, and Arsenal’s interest follows a January approach that stalled due to timing and loyalty concerns.
Goretzka’s experience in the Champions League, Bundesliga titles and international tournaments would add depth to Arsenal’s midfield, which already features Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard. While Italian clubs such as Inter, AC Milan and Juventus have also expressed interest, the Premier League remains Goretzka’s preferred destination.
