No Market Yet for Mac Jones

According to The Athletic, a market has not yet emerged for Mac Jones, the 49ers backup to starter Brock Purdy.

With plenty of free-agent options currently available, quarterback-needy teams are more likely to consider players who can be acquired without losing a draft pick. The 49ers signed Jones to a two-year deal last year, giving them full control through 2026.

Jones is due to make only $3.25 million in 2026, but teams looking for quarterbacks are currently focused on the open market rather than pursuing a trade.
