City v Nottingham Forest: Gameweek 30 Scout Report

The Scout’s verdict is in ahead of Gameweek 30 in Fantasy Premier League as City host Nottingham Forest.

Pep Guardiola’s side welcome Vitor Pereira to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 4 March, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30 (UK).

The Blues enter the meeting buoyed by our 1-0 win over Leeds last time out, meanwhile, the visitors will be aiming to bounce back from their narrow loss in their previous assignment to Brighton.

With a full top-flight schedule being played in mid-week, FPL managers will be aiming to boost their points totals before the business end of the season comes into view.

Read our latest Scout Report below ahead of Tuesday 3 March’s 18:00 (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

In the final 10 matches, Fantasy Premier League FPL managers will often find themselves looking for a differential to transform their season. Rayan Cherki (£6.4m) could just be that pick.

Despite not registering an attacking return against Leeds in GW28, Guardiola described this as Cherki’s ‘best game’. The midfielder had a shot, created a chance and was influential in all of City’s best attacking play.

GW28 was Cherki’s first start since his GW24 goal against Spurs, where he also registered a bonus point. In the last six matches he has had seven shots, five from inside the box, supplied seven crosses and created five chances.

In this period, he has been involved in 29% of the chances City have had whilst he has been on the pitch.

ONE TO WATCH

Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.3m) is opponents Nottingham Forest’s in-form player. The midfielder scored and registered two bonus points in GW28 for a 9-point return.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Leeds’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m) and Everton’s Keirnan Dewbury-Hall (£5.0) are two low-owned gems worth considering.

Calvert-Lewin faces Sunderland who have conceded 11 goals in their last six away matches with only West Ham conceding more.

Over the last four gameweeks Dewsbury-Hall has scored, registered two assists, four defensive contribution points and three bonus points.
