Michigan State hockey had a big weekend split over Notre Dame this past weekend. With two weekend series left against Ohio State and Minnesota, the Spartans are eyeing their third straight regular season Big Ten title.
In Friday's massive win over the Fighting Irish, freshman forward Porter Martone had his first career hat-trick. The No. 6 overall pick for the Philadelphia Flyers has had a massive season for MSU, and is seemingly hitting his stride as the final stages of the year begin.
Chatting with Big Ten Network, Martone spoke about his hat-trick and how big the moment was for him to see the Munn Ice Arena crowd get loud and cheer him on.
