Swiss racer Nico Müller secured his first-ever Formula E victory after producing a superb performance in Round 7 of the 2026 Hankook Berlin E-Prix.

Driving Porsche’s special “Pink Pig” 99X Electric livery, Müller executed a near-perfect race strategy to take victory on home soil for the German manufacturer during its 75th anniversary celebrations in motorsport.

The triumph marked a major milestone in Müller’s Formula E career, with the win arriving in his 69th race start in the all-electric championship.

Starting sixth on the grid at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit, Müller initially stayed within the midfield pack to conserve energy during the early stages of the race. The Swiss driver later emerged as one of the strongest contenders after timing his Pit Boost stop and Attack Mode activation perfectly.

Müller eventually surged into the lead during the closing stages and pulled away comfortably to finish nearly five seconds ahead of the field.

Nick Cassidy finished second after another consistent drive in Berlin, while reigning Formula E champion Oliver Rowland completed the podium in third place.

The result also significantly boosted Müller’s championship ambitions, moving him into strong contention in the drivers’ standings behind title rivals Edoardo Mortara and Pascal Wehrlein.

Porsche’s celebrations were partially overshadowed by misfortune for Wehrlein, who suffered a puncture during the race despite showing strong pace throughout the weekend. The reigning world champion was forced into an unscheduled stop and eventually finished outside the points.

After the race, Müller admitted he was overwhelmed by the achievement, especially winning for Porsche during such a historic weekend for the manufacturer. He described the result as one of the proudest moments of his career.

Porsche team principal Florian Modlinger praised Müller’s tyre management and strategic execution, calling it a “perfectly executed race” during one of the team’s most significant race weekends.

The Berlin E-Prix once again highlighted Formula E’s unique emphasis on energy management, race strategy, and Attack Mode timing, with several lead changes occurring throughout the event.

The 2025-26 Formula E season now moves to Monaco for the next round as the championship battle continues to intensify heading into the second half of the campaign.
