The 2026 PSA Squash World Championships are set to bring together the world’s top squash players in Giza, Egypt, from May 8 to 16 for one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international squash calendar.
The tournament will feature 128 players competing across men’s and women’s singles events, with the iconic Great Pyramid backdrop once again adding to the spectacle of the championship.
Defending champions Mostafa Asal and Nour El Sherbini will headline the competition after winning the previous edition of the World Championships in Chicago.
The championship carries major significance as squash prepares for its historic debut at the 2028 Summer Olympics, with many players viewing the event as a crucial benchmark in the build-up toward Olympic qualification.
Egypt once again enters the tournament as the dominant force in world squash, led by stars including Asal, El Sherbini, Ali Farag, Hania El Hammamy, and Nouran Gohar.
India will also have representation at the championship, with players including Anahat Singh expected to attract attention following her rapid rise in international squash.
