Phelps: Don't Want Kids to Swim Like Me

Michael Phelps, the most decorated swimmer in history, has revealed he doesn't want his children to follow in his swimming footsteps, citing his own mental health struggles during his 20-year career.

In an interview with Whoop Podcast, Phelps opened up about his battle with depression and anxiety throughout his career. "I don't want my children to swim, I don't want them to go through what I experienced for 20 years," the Olympic champion stated.

The swimmer also addressed the current state of the US national team, expressing concerns about what he perceives as a lack of leadership. Phelps made these comments while discussing the future of American swimming ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
