McNeese's Viral Manager Returns After NC State Stint

Amir Khan, McNeese State's viral manager famous for his boombox tunnel walk, has returned to the program after a brief stint at NC State, where he followed head coach Will Wade.

Khan, who became a national sensation during McNeese's NCAA Tournament run last season, explained his return was motivated by practical reasons and personal connection. His academic credits didn't transfer well to NC State, pushing him back to sophomore status, and he wanted to graduate from McNeese, where his house is just five minutes away.

Despite the attention he received, Khan remains focused on his role as a student manager. 'What I want to do is shine light on student managers as a whole,' he said. 'A lot of what we do is behind the scenes.' McNeese enters the post-season with a 23-5 record, positioned for another March run with their now-famous manager back in the fold.
