Lebanon Basketball Star Jayden Bailey Remembered at Beech High

Lebanon High School basketball player Jayden Bailey, who died Feb. 19 after a four‑year cancer battle, was honored during a Beech High playoff game with a tribute and a GoFundMe QR code.

During the District 7‑4A semifinal between Lebanon and Green Hill, fans at Beech High saw a black table with a photo of 17‑year‑old Jayden Bailey, a scar from his arm amputation visible. The table bore the words “Support Jayden Bailey’s Cancer Battle” and a QR code linking to a GoFundMe page set up to help his family with medical costs.

Bailey, who returned to play after missing a season with osteosarcoma, was remembered by teammates and coach Jim McDowell as a constant presence on the court. Despite his diagnosis and an arm amputation, he continued to play, inspiring the team to a 46‑44 victory. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
