C.E. King HS Star Dillon Mitchell Eyes 2028 Olympics

C.E. King High School sophomore Dillon Mitchell has set a U.S. 60‑meter record and is aiming for the 2028 Olympics.

Mitchell, 16, broke the U.S. 60‑meter record last month, becoming the fastest high‑schooler in the event. He credits his father, Billy, who has coached him since age four, for his steady development and for keeping him focused on long‑term goals.

Mitchell plans to play football and run track in college, but his primary ambition is to qualify for the 2028 Olympics. He says he wants to stay a kid and enjoy his teenage years while training for the biggest stage in sports.
