49ers Top Landing Spot for Seumalo

ESPN's Matt Bowen has identified the San Francisco 49ers as the top landing spot for free agent guard Isaac Seumalo, who could help address their upcoming left guard issues.

The San Francisco 49ers have questions at left guard after Ben Bartch and Spencer Burford become free agents this offseason, leaving Connor Colby as the top option. ESPN analyst Matt Bowen identified Seumalo as the best fit for San Francisco, noting his strong pass protection and run blocking metrics.

Seumalo, a 10-year veteran who won a Super Bowl with the Eagles and made the Pro Bowl with the Steelers in 2024, would provide immediate help while the 49ers develop a long-term solution. The 33-year-old guard has a 97.3% pass rush win rate and ranked fourth among guards with a 76.9% run block win rate this season.
