PSG Hesitation Cost Them £60m Defender

Liverpool has agreed a £60 million deal for defender Jeremy Jacquet, a player PSG once hesitated on before selecting Sékou Doucouré instead.

PSG passed on Jacquet during his youth development, choosing Doucouré whose profile better matched their vision at the time. That decision has proven significant as Doucouré never progressed to the PSG first team, while Jacquet has developed into one of Europe's most promising center backs at Rennes.

Standing at 6'4", Jacquet brings strong aerial abilities and passing skills that fit Liverpool's system under Arne Slot. The France youth international is currently recovering from shoulder surgery before joining the Reds after his £60m move.
