Trae Young Nears Wizards Debut, Anthony Davis Still Recovering

Trae Young is nearing his Washington Wizards debut after recovering from an MCL sprain, while Anthony Davis remains sidelined as he continues to heal a hand ligament injury.

Trae Young, the 27‑year‑old guard, has been ramping up practice after an MCL sprain and thigh bruise. He played his last game on Dec. 27 and will be evaluated next week as he prepares for his Wizards debut.

Anthony Davis, 32, has not played since Jan. 8. After rehabbing a hand ligament injury in Dallas, he is in Washington for a visit with hand surgeon Steven Shin and will be reassessed in two weeks.
