Beverley Cleared of Assault Charges

Former NBA player Patrick Beverley has been cleared of felony assault charges after a grand jury in Fort Bend County, Texas decided not to indict him.

Former NBA player Patrick Beverley will not face charges following an arrest on Nov. 14 in Fort Bend County, Texas. According to his attorneys, Rusty Hardin and Letitia Quinones-Hollins, a grand jury no-billed Beverley, effectively ending the case.

Beverley had been accused of assaulting his 15-year-old sister during an incident at their mother's home in Rosharon, Texas. In a statement released Monday, Feb. 23, Beverley expressed gratitude that the grand jury recognized he would never harm his sister and hopes his name and reputation will be restored with the charges behind him.
