UFC Pursues Gaethje vs Topuria Rematch

Despite Justin Gaethje's repeated reluctance to face a second bout, the UFC is pushing for a rematch between the lightweight champion Ilia Topuria and the former champion. Sources within the promotion confirm that Dana White, Hunter Campbell, and other executives are seriously considering the fight, which would be highly marketable. michezonews.co.za

The matchup makes strategic sense as Topuria, the new lightweight champion, is a major draw in the most lucrative market for MMA. The Georgian-born fighter remains one of the most popular competitors despite suffering his first professional defeat. The UFC sees significant commercial value in the potential rematch.
