Pep talks to TNT. “The selection is to try to win the game … the people on the bench are for the second half … [the whole week to prepare] has been good … not just training but rest … no rest, every three days … when you can give one week, it is massively important for everyone … we can do better … we have to do better to have a chance to fight [for the title] until the end … [Newcastle] has always been a tough game … since Eddie Howe took over that position they are always getting better and better.”
Eddie Howe, whose team have won their last three away matches, speaks to TNT Sports. “We’ve played really well in the three games … played every game with a really good mindset … really good focus as well … diligent in and out of possession … showed our athleticism … we need to do all of those things tonight … we’re playing against a very good team … we need to be at our very best … we’ve tried not to dwell on [travelling to and from Azerbaijan] … it can very easily become relevant in your mind … so we’ve just focused on the good result and performance … we are trying now to back that up and be at our very best … there are no excuses from us … learning from the cup game, there was a few things we needed to do better, and we need to put them into action.”

The crash also involved Italian legend Arianna Fontana and American skater Kristen Santos-Griswold. Santos-Griswold was penalized for an illegal lane pass that contributed to the collision, which prevented her from advancing to the quarter-final round.
Daytona 500 Winner Tyler Reddick On Pole After Rain Wipes Out Atlanta Qualifying
EchoPark Speedway (Hampton, Ga.) — Rain washed out NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, putting Daytona 500 winner Tyler Reddick on the pole for the Autotrader 400 on Sunday. When qualifying is not held, the starting order is set by the NASCAR performance metric — 70 percent the finish from the previous race and 30 percent of the car's owner point standings. Reddick had the best score (he finished first at Daytona and leads the standings), so he starts on the pole. Joey Logano, who finished third in the Daytona 500, starts second. With qualifying rained out, the first laps drivers take at Atlanta will be in the race on Sunday afternoon (3 p.m. ET on FOX and the FOX Sports app). They do not practice on the drafting tracks after the Daytona 500 because of the risk for the teams of a crash, while practice in drafting can outweigh the knowledge gained by the practice. Reddick probably liked the fact that he had a day without a lot of responsibilities after a few days of media as the Daytona 500 winner. "There's a number of things that have been out of sorts, if you will, but for the most part, it was a normal week on the prep side," Reddick said. "So I think I'll be good." The FOX Weather forecast for Sunday is for cool temperatures in the 40s with no chance of rain.
Barça Atlètic 1-1 Alcoyano: No Comeback
Barça Atlètic failed to overcome Alcoyano's compact defensive formation at Johan Cruyff Stadium, with the visitors minimizing Barcelona's attacking play throughout the first half.
The match shifted after the break as Belletti's team began playing with greater fluidity and speed, allowing them to equalize. However, they couldn't find a winning goal. A negative note was Jofre Torrents' injury shortly after entering, which required medical attention and initial assessments suggest it's serious.
