UFC books American Top Team stablemates for April main event

Two teammates will fight in the UFC Fight Night 272 main event.

American Top Team members Renato Moicano and Chris Duncan will throw down in a five-round bout April 4 at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, the promotion announced Saturday.

Moicano (20-7-1 MMA, 12-7 UFC) aims to snap a two-fight skid. Four straight wins and a last-second Arman Tsarukyan withdrawal landed him a title fight vs. Islam Makhachev in January 2025. However, Moicano was promptly submitted in Round 1. He returned in June and lost a unanimous decision to Beneil Dariush.

Duncan (15-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) is on a roll with four straight victories including two performance-bonus showings against Bolaji Oki and Mateusz Rebecki. He most recently competed in December when he submitted Terrance McKinney in 2:30.

The updated UFC Fight Night 272 lineup includes:

  • Renato Moicano vs. Chris Duncan
  • Virna Jandiroba vs. Tabatha Ricci
  • Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Jun Yong Park
  • Hailey Cowan vs. Alice Pereira
  • Alessandro Costa vs. Stewart Nicoll
  • Dione Barbosa vs. Melissa Gatto
  • Azamat Bekoev vs. Tresean Gore
  • Tommy McMillen vs. Manolo Zecchini
  • Guilherme Pat vs. Thomas Petersen
  • Jose Delano vs. Robert Ruchala
  • Rafael Estevam vs. Ethan Ewing

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore died Saturday in southern Indiana, according to officials. He was 25 years old.

New Albany police chief Todd Bailey said Moore was found in a garage with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to local network WLKY. The Floyd County Coroner’s Office confirmed his death Saturday evening.

An autopsy will be performed, and his death remains under investigation, the network reports.

Moore, a star receiver at Purdue University, was drafted into the NFL by the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. He played with the team for three years before a series of knee injuries stalled his career for several seasons.

He signed with the Vikings before the 2025 season and tore his ACL in the first preseason game.

University of Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm, who coached Moore at Purdue, said Moore was “a complete joy to coach.”

“The ultimate competitor that wouldn’t back down from any challenge,” he wrote. “Rondale had a work ethic unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation.”

“We all loved Rondale, we loved his smile and competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all of our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family, we love him very much,” he added.

It will cost a lot to be a Los Angeles Lakers fan next season. The Lakers' ticket prices will reportedly skyrocket next season, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Online basketball personality Rob Perez revealed a 2026–2027 season ticket invoice with a 14% price increase and a 3% "Admin Fee" if the price was not paid in full. Perez posted that the five-month and nine-month payment plans were available for the previous season without a percentage penalty.

ESPN reported that a season ticket in the 300 level has increased from $5,494 in 2024–25 to $6,192 in 2025–26 to $9,035 for 2026–27. This is reportedly a 45.9% hike going into next season, compared with a 12.7% hike in the last renewal cycle.

The Lakers' most notable change between now and last season was October’s approved sale of the team to new owner Mark Walter. The Lakers reportedly sent a statement saying the prices reflect today’s market and the demand to see the team.

The Lakers are also depending on the legacy of the franchise and its current players to justify the prices.

Walter, an owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, saw that team set a franchise record in attendance during its second straight title run. The Lakers last won a championship in the 2020 bubble season.

"Luka is shaping the present and future of the game in real time with vision, control, and impact every night. LeBron continues to define what longevity, excellence, and leadership look like in this league. Year after year, the benchmark holds. Austin's star power has no ceiling; his dedication to the game is unmatched."

Right now, it is uncertain if that will be enough to keep Crypto.com Arena at its 99.8% occupied capacity. It is also uncertain if LeBron James will still be with the Lakers next season. James will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, and next season will be his 24th if he decides to play. Austin Reaves has a player option and is reportedly expected to opt out of his $14.9 million player option for 2026–27 to pursue a long-term extension.

Currently, the Lakers have a record of 34–21 and are fifth in the Western Conference standings.
