क्या है नई प्रस्तावित रिटायरमेंट पॉलिसी?

BCCI उन खिलाड़ियों की वजह से इस पॉलिसी को लाने पर विचार कर रही है, जो रिटायरमेंट इसलिए ले रहे हैं जिससे विदेशी लीगों में खेल पाएं. खासतौर पर विजय शंकर की वजह से इस मामले ने ज्यादा तूल पकड़ा है. शंकर, जिन्होंने रिटायरमेंट के बाद एक सप्ताह के भीतर श्रीलंका प्रीमियर लीग में कैंडी रॉयल्स टीम को जॉइन कर लिया.

नई प्रस्तावित रिटायरमेंट पॉलिसी कहती है कि रिटायरमेंट के बाद खिलाड़ी पर कूलिंग-ऑफ पीरियड लागू हो जाएगा. इसका मतलब यदि कोई खिलाड़ी संन्यास के बाद विदेशी लीग में खेलता है, तो वह पांच साल तक भारत में किसी भी स्तर का क्रिकेट नहीं खेल पाएगा. amunra-opinie.pl

साफ शब्दों में समझ लीजिए कि अगर किसी भारतीय खिलाड़ी ने आज संन्यास लिया है, तो वह अगले 5 साल तक किसी भी विदेशी लीग में भाग नहीं ले पाएगा. अगर वह ऐसा करता है, तो वह अगले 5 साल तक भारत में क्रिकेट किसी भी स्तर का क्रिकेट नहीं खेल सकता.

Young Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has spoken about his memorable interaction with Virat Kohli after the IPL 2026 season. The 15-year-old expressed his gratitude for the encouragement he received from the former India captain and described the meeting as a special moment in his young career.

Sooryavanshi scored 776 runs in 16 matches at an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 237.30 during the IPL 2026 season. He won the Orange Cap and the Most Valuable Player award. His first international assignment will begin with a two-match T20I series against Ireland, followed by a five-match T20I series in England.

The moment came after Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their second straight IPL title. Although the Royals were eliminated in Qualifier 2, Sooryavanshi enjoyed a memorable season, winning the Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season, and Most Valuable Player awards.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi said that he wants to help Rajasthan Royals win several IPL titles in the coming years. The young batter admitted that individual awards would have felt even more special if the team had won the trophy.

"If we hadn't collapsed in the last match, I wouldn't be sitting and watching today. Getting all these things after winning... it would have been cherry on top. When will the second trophy come? Hopefully, not just the second trophy, will win second, third, fourth, and fifth one in the years to come."

Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to win the Orange Cap in IPL history during the 2026 season. He also hit a record 72 sixes, breaking the previous mark held by Chris Gayle.

Sooryavanshi said he wants to play all three formats for India and build a long international career. The young batter revealed that he regularly practices with the red ball and hopes to make a mark in every format of the game.

"I want to play red-ball cricket because I practice with the red ball. So, my dream is to play all three formats. I want to play in a way where it's not just about playing, but dominating for 10 or 20 years."

Sooryavanshi is currently touring Sri Lanka with the India A team to improve his red-ball skills. After the tour, he will join India's squad for the upcoming white-ball series in Ireland and England, as well as the Asian Games.

The Indian cricket team selectors have reportedly asked Shubman Gill to focus on the World Test Championship (WTC) and the ODI World Cup 2027 following their decision to snub him from the T20I squad. The Gujarat Titans skipper, who amassed 732 runs in IPL 2026, failed to find his way back into the shortest format squad after being dropped earlier this year. Gill, who is the captain of the ODI and the Test team, has now been asked to prepare himself for a long season which involves 9 Tests and lots of ODIs before the 2027 WC, and has been asked to stay in shape.

Gill told to focus on ODIs and Tests, not T20I

As per news agency PTI, a source claimed that the selectors are concerned that Gill shouldn’t face a burn-out by being a part of all three formats, adding that there were 9 WTC Tests and as many as 35 ODIs to be played before the WC in 2027. The source claimed that Shubman has been asked to stay fit for the two important ICC events. It is pertinent to point out that India need to win 7 out of their 9 remaining Tests in order to fancy a chance of making it to the WTC 2025/27 final.

“The selectors are concerned that there shoudn’t be a burn-out case with Gill. Gill has to lead India in nine WTC Tests and also play around 35 odd ODIs before the start of 2027 World Cup. The communication is clear that he needs to be fit for these two ICC assignments. Plus he will play the IPL where he leads Gujarat Titans,” the report states.

Gill returned to the T20I setup last year in the Asia Cup 2025, replacing Sanju Samson as the opener. However, he was dropped at the start of the year after managing to score just 291 runs from 15 T20Is in 2025. However, his IPL numbers have been phenomenal over the last couple of seasons. In IPL 2025, he scored 650 runs followed by a 732-run season in 2026.

The source added that the BCCI wanted Gill to focus on the immediate future, while noting there were two years left for the T20 World Cup 2028 and the LA28 Olympics.

“There is still a lot of time left for the two marquee T20 events in 2028. For Gill, the focus is on the immediate future. Two years from now, no one knows which player will be in what kind of form and fitness. So this is the plan till 2027 ODI World Cup,” the source added.

Swashbuckling left-handed batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has received his maiden call-up for India`s senior team ahead of the T20I tours of Ireland and England.

Former Team India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin feels that, along with white-ball cricketer, Sooryavanshi should also represent India in the longest format of the game.

"I personally think he should play Test cricket. If you`re thinking about the larger good of the game, then I believe he should. But that said, can you teach your children what they are not willing to learn? You simply can`t," he said during the Cricinfo Honours Awards 2026.

Further speaking, he feels that the cricketers are not interested anymore in making their appearance in Test cricket. The former cricketer also explained the reason why youngsters don`t want to play Test cricket.

"I think the ecosystem is driving these things, and sometimes, when the game tells you what needs to be done, it`s better to follow what it`s telling you. You cannot force a particular facet of the game. Yes, Test cricket is the pinnacle, but I`ve been involved in grassroots coaching for a long time, and I don`t see young cricketers turning up wanting to play red-ball cricket. They defend a couple of balls and immediately want to learn the shots that will get them out of trouble," said Ashwin.

In the concluded IPL 2026, despite the Rajasthan Royals` failure to make the final of the tournament, Sooryavanshi was the player to win the most awards at the post-tournament presentation ceremony. Team India ended the day one at 368 runs for the loss of three wickets as Indian batters dominated against an inexperienced Afghanistan bowling attack.

KL Rahul smashed 11 boundaries as he scored 100 runs in 165 balls. The Indian opener was dismissed by Ziaur Rahman Sharifi shortly after reaching his century.

Indian captain Shubman Gill also dominated the Afghanistan bowling, continuing his impressive recent form. The Indian skipper scored an unbeaten 103 runs in 143 balls, including 11 fours and one six. Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten too, scoring 50 runs in 70 balls.

Rising through Mumbai cricket is never easy, and neither is leading a team from the front but judging by Shreyas Iyer’s impressive captaincy record in the IPL in recent years, Rohit Sharma believes the Mumbai batter is well-equipped to thrive in the role.

Shreyas was heralded as the new Indian captain in the shortest format while Suryakumar Yadav was dropped from the team as the three-time World Cup winners pressed reset to their T20 leadership, with key assignments such as this year’s Asia Cup and the 2028 Olympics and T20 World Cup in mind.

“I’m sure looking at how he has captained in the last few years for his franchise, he’s going to have a good time," Rohit, the brand ambassador of the T20 Mumbai League, said here on Saturday.

Rohit, who captained India to their second T20 World Cup win in 2024, said nothing comes easy for a Mumbai cricketer but Shreyas would know captaincy is a title that one has to earn.

“Look, playing in Mumbai, representing Mumbai teaches you a lot of things. If you ask anyone who has captained India or Mumbai before us, they’ll tell you the same thing. Nothing comes easy here. I’m pretty sure it’s the same elsewhere as well. But here – I’m just talking about Mumbai – nothing comes easy."

“You have to really earn it so captaincy is also something that you have to earn and earn the respect of people around you and that is something that all these guys have it," he said.

Rohit also heaped praise on Suryakumar’s stint as India captain which culminated with the national side clinching their record-extending third T20 World Cup title earlier this year.

“I’m pretty sure nothing has come easy, especially for Surya," Rohit said.

“He made his India debut at 30 or 31, if I’m not wrong, which means that he never gave up. He always wanted to be in the fight and when it came, he wanted to grab it with both hands, and he did it," he added.

Suryakumar, who captained the Triumph Knights Mumbai North East in their contest against Sobo Mumbai Falcons, said he was happy knowing another Mumbai player has taken over the reins of the national T20I team.

“So many things are happening but very, very happy for Shreyas as he is getting to lead the T20 Indian team," Suryakumar said at the toss.

“We have played a lot of cricket together here in Bombay and most important thing what I felt is that three back-to-back Mumbai captains (are) going on to lead in T20Is for India. I think it is a very proud moment and everyone needs to celebrate that," he added.

Rohit said the talent in the fourth edition of the T20 Mumbai League, which is running concurrently with the inaugural three-team women’s edition, has “unreal" talent.

“Looking at what has happened and what has transpired, I’m not at all surprised by it. Because the talent that we get to see is unreal, and that is what we want, right?," he said.

“We want the platform for all the players to come out and show their talent and this is the perfect platform for a lot of these guys who are playing and taking part in it," Rohit added.
