Laurie Blouin saved her best for last, but it wasn’t enough to push her back to the Olympic podium.
The Canadian snowboarder scored 68.80 points in her third and final run to finish fifth in the women’s slopestyle on Wednesday.
The Quebec City native, 29, won a bronze in slopestyle at the 2018 Olympics and finished fourth in 2022.
Wednesday’s result was a big step up from the past three world championships, where Blouin finished outside the top 10.
Juliette Pelchat of Whistler, B.C. finished ninth in the 12-woman final on Wednesday.
Japan’s Mari Fukada won gold, New Zealand’s Zoi Sadowski Synnott grabbed silver and Japan’s Kokomo Murase grabbed bronze.
