Stevenage midfielder Dan Phillips says the side feels they have "turned the corner" after Tuesday's win over Port Vale.
The 2-1 home victory, their third in five matches, leaves Alex Revell's side seventh in League One, one point outside the play-off places with games in hand on most of the sides above them.
Stevenage led the division after winning eight of their opening nine fixtures, but just two victories from the next 15 saw them drop out of the top six.
"It's a long season, and every team is going to have a blip or a tough run of form," Phillips told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"It's about character and staying on it, and I think we've shown that, and hopefully we've turned the corner.
"Everyone's pulling in the same direction. I think we're a really close group, and it shows on the pitch and off the pitch, so no issues there at all."
Victory over bottom side Vale followed a key win over play-off rivals Huddersfield Town on Saturday, and Phillips says the team are finding momentum again.
"Coming off the weekend it was really important to back it up with another win so really pleased to do that. We were very confident in the game and dominant, and got the outcome we deserved."
"It's good that we're creating some chances, and really showing some attacking play and opening teams up, so plenty of positives to build on.
Tuesday's win also saw the Trinidad and Tobago international finally register his first goal for the club in 56 appearances with a long-range strike from outside the box.
"Delighted to finally score, it's something I've been wanting to do, contribute attacking-wise and glad it helped us get back into the game," he added.
"I'm really enjoying my football. I just want to keep going, keeping winning, and really build some momentum for the team.
"The more you play you get a bit of consistency and momentum, so I'm obviously happy to be playing at the moment, and keep things going as they are."
Stevenage next visit 10th-placed Wycombe on Saturday.
