What are the chances of Jackson playing for Chelsea next season?

The likelihood of Nicolas Jackson playing for Chelsea in 2026-27 has been the subject of several questions sent in via our Blues 'Ask Me Anything' form.

It has seemed clear, almost from the outset, that Bayern Munich do not intend to sign Jackson permanently following his initial loan spell.

That leaves open the strong possibility the Senegal striker will return to Chelsea.

However, those close to the player do not expect him to feature at Stamford Bridge again, with Chelsea having made him available for sale this summer.

Jackson is likely to be assessing his next move, with clubs including Aston Villa and Juventus previously expressing interest in signing him.

Chelsea, meanwhile, already have two strikers in Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, with a third, Emmanuel Emegha, arriving in the summer from Strasbourg.

There are a lot of potential scenarios that could still play out, though, and it hasn't been ruled out that Liam Rosenior takes a shine to him, or a that a major injury to another player could pave a way back for Jackson next season.
