The CHSAA ice hockey playoffs are already underway and Section 1 isn't far behind, with the first postseason games slated for Thursday puck drops.
That means only weeks remain in the lohud Ice Hockey Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital.
Last week, with six players nominated by coaches, readers gave the honor to Pelham senior Matt Veteri, who netted all five Pelham goals in a 5-2 win over Scarsdale. That added Veteri's name to the list of honorees from this season, Owen Cosgrove of Suffern, Lucas Guggenheimer of Byram Hills, Anthony Ruggiero of Suffern, Zach Yoon of Byram Hills, Patrick Vaughan of the BYSNS, Winston Speros of Pelham, Hank Hearon of Fox Lane and Cam White of Pelham.
This week, coaches have nominated seven athletes for their Feb. 9-15 play.
Read about them below.
You may vote for as many players as you like and as many times as you like, but the poll will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
