Bills could acquire Super Bowl champion for astonishing price originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
If there is one thing Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has to do this offseason, it's to get Josh Allen a No.1 receiver.
There can be no more bargain options like Joshua Palmer or bit-part players like Curtis Samuel. Buffalo needs a true game-wrecker at the position.
But who?
We have seen several names mentioned, but the one that we keep coming back to is Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown. Culture-wise, this doesn't seem like a fit with Joe Brady's "everybody eats" mantra, but that hasn't stopped many from thinking Brown should be Buffalo-bound.
CBS Sports' Tyler Sullivan thinks the Bills could get Brown for as little as a second-round pick.
“If there was a team possibly willing to go to the ceiling of what is perceived to be Brown's asking price on the trade market, it could (and should) be the Bills,” Sullivan wrote. “The organization missed a golden opportunity last season to roll through the AFC playoffs -- that did not feature Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow -- and get to that elusive Super Bowl.
"Considering the Bills are trying to maximize this window they have with Allen in his prime, they should be willing to pay up for Brown.”

Should Bills go after Brown?
Culture fit be damned, if a second-round pick is really all it would take for the Eagles to part ways with Brown, then the Bills should absolutely do this deal.
Yes, we know what Brown does when he isn't getting targets and catches, so Allen and Brady must be wary of that, but the upside is huge.
Brown has never had a quarterback like Allen before, and unlike Hurts, isn't afraid to let it rip into tight windows to give his receivers a chance to make a play.
A.J. has been consistently linked with a move to Buffalo, and if this were to materialize, one could only imagine what the Bills' offense would look like in 2026.
